Sectional Editor(Autism, Mental illnesses)
Medical Director
Institute of Progressive Medicine
USA
Research Interest:
Virology; Stealth adapted viruses; Herpes viruses; Cytomegalovirus; HIV; Biophysics; Cellular energy; Cellular immunity; Homeopathy; Complementary and Alternative Medicine; Autism; Mental illnesses; Psychiatry; Neurology; Neuropathology; Water.
Biography:
Dr. W John Martin is Medical Director of the Institute of Progressive Medicine, within MI Hope Inc., a non-profit United States public charity that specializes in the cause, prevention and treatment of mental illnesses. Dr. Martin received his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 1965 and the PhD degree from the University of Melbourne in 1970. He is Board Certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty qualifications in Immunopathology and in Medical Microbiology.
Using molecular assays and specialized virus culture techniques, Dr. Martin pioneered research leading to the detection of stealth adapted viruses. These viruses are not effectively recognized by immune system due to the deletion or mutation of the virus genes that code for the relatively few virus components normally targeted by cellular immunity. Certain stealth adapted viruses currently infecting humans were likely originally introduced into humans as cytomegalovirus contaminants of polio virus vaccines. Moreover, the testing of contaminated experimental polio vaccines in African chimpanzees probably explains the origin of HIV, the AIDS virus. Stealth adapted viruses are a probable contributing cause of several major mental illness, autism and the chronic fatigue syndrome.
Studies on stealth adapted viruses led to the description of the alternative cellular energy (ACE) pathway as a major defense mechanism capable of suppressing both stealth adapted and conventional viruses, as well as other pathogens. The ACE pathway differs from cellular energy obtained from food metabolism in other important ways, including empowering aspects of higher brain functioning.
Dr. Martin explains the ACE pathway in terms of the brain’s capacity to attract a natural external energy force into the body. He has termed this force KELEA (kinetic energy limiting electrostatic attraction). Water and other materials, called enerceuticals™ can also capture and beneficially transmit KELEA to humans, animals and plants. KELEA can also be used in Industry, including improving the efficiency of heat transfer and of fuel combustion.
